Voodoo theories are an ancient evil that have been plaguing mankind until now. Its remarkable how long they can persist undefeated and people who try to debunk them end being accused of heresy in some way or another ( the inquisition is a thing of the past but has been replaced by other instruments: like firing people). On the other hand there is a lot of people who have great difficulty accepting scientific theories for which there is much more evidence (like relativity theory or natural selection).
The main approach to contain the damage done by voodoo theories is debunking them and making is propagators being accountable of the damage they do. This can be quite hard because they behave as true zealots for these theories sometimes dragging huge numbers of sheeple to support their causes.
That being said I cannot help but feel that the real problem lies somehow in the way our society is organized that is, people make mistakes all the time, what really puzzles me is that there are people who manage to make a living out of those voodoo theories, how it is that nobody around them notice that all they do is promise and never deliver? Suppose u go to a doctor who keeps giving u medicine to treat your illness and after 5 years no improvement has been made. His personal wealth other hand has improved remarkably. Doesn’t anybody notice what’s going on?
To resume my point: u can’t sell voodoo theories (politics included) if there aren’t people willing to buy them.

Thanks, Julia.

No need to hurry! As they say,

An apple a day keeps the doctor away!
